Terms of Use

Last updated: August 4, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Jindo mobile application (“App”) for iPhone and iPad, our website at hellojindo.com, and related services (together, the “Services”) offered by Jindo (“we”, “us”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

Eligibility and age

To create a household or act as a household owner, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) and able to form a binding contract.

To create a Jindo account or sign in (including as an invited household member who uses Jindo on their own device), you must be at least 13 years old. We do not permit children under 13 to create or use their own Jindo accounts.

If you use the Services on behalf of a household, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that household and for information you enter about household members.

The Services

Jindo is a household coordination app. Features may include a shared family calendar, chores and tasks, meal planning with a recipe library, and a household grocery list — with distinct experiences optimized for iPad and iPhone. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services with reasonable notice where practicable.

Accounts and households

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Households can include up to 12 members. If your household uses shared data, you are responsible for inviting only people you trust and for how household members use the Services.

When you add family members, you may mark a member as someone whose profile you manage, or as someone who has their own device and will sign in with their own Jindo account. Members who sign in on their own device must meet the age requirements above.

You may delete your account at any time through the App’s settings (Privacy). Account deletion is permanent and removes your personal data from our active systems, subject to legal retention requirements. Details are in our Privacy Policy and in Household continuity below.

Subscriptions and billing

Access to the Services may require a paid auto-renewable subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple’s App Store and managed via your Apple ID. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled according to Apple’s terms and policies.

One subscription covers your whole household. The household owner purchases the subscription; other invited members can join and use the household’s shared features without a separate purchase while the subscription remains active. Billing and renewal run through the owner’s Apple ID.

Before you subscribe, the App shows the subscription title, length, and price. In addition:

Pricing and available plans are shown in the App before purchase. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements; RevenueCat does not process your payment. Links to these Terms and our Privacy Policy are also available in the App.

Household continuity

Household access and shared data depend on the household owner’s subscription and account choices:

Members should understand that ongoing access to shared household content depends on the owner’s Apple ID subscription and the owner’s decisions about the household.

Children and family members

Jindo is designed for adults to coordinate a household. Owners may add profiles for family members, including children under 13, as managed profiles (for example, “I’ll manage their profile”). Children under 13 must not create their own Jindo accounts or sign in as independent users.

If you invite someone to use Jindo on their own device, you must only invite people who meet the account age requirements in Eligibility and age. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter about household members (including birth dates) and for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required by law. Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle children’s information.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Intellectual property

The Services, including the App, branding, and content we create, are owned by Jindo and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for your personal or household purposes. You retain ownership of content you submit; you grant us a license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Services for you and your household.

Third-party services

The Services integrate with third-party infrastructure and services, including Supabase (hosting and authentication), Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store billing, and push notifications), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use may be subject to those providers’ terms and policies where applicable.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. JINDO IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL, FINANCIAL, MEDICAL, OR LEGAL ADVICE. CALENDAR INFORMATION IS PROVIDED FOR CONVENIENCE AND MAY BE INCOMPLETE OR INACCURATE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JINDO AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) THE THEN-CURRENT PRICE OF ONE SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD FOR THE PLAN PURCHASED FOR YOUR HOUSEHOLD, EXCEPT WHERE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW SUCH LIMITATIONS.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Jindo and its affiliates, officers, and employees against claims arising from your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if we must do so for legal or security reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination. See Household continuity for how cancellation and deletion affect households and members.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless your local law requires otherwise. You and Jindo agree to resolve disputes in the courts located in Delaware, except where prohibited by law.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets, or by operation of law. These Terms bind and benefit permitted successors and assigns.

Entire agreement and severability

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any notices or additional terms we provide in the App for specific features, are the entire agreement between you and Jindo regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.

If a court finds any provision of these Terms unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where law requires additional consent.
